On the 10th of June in Warsaw, Baker Tilly (Ukraine) in cooperation with International Law Firm Baker & McKenzie, UniCredit Group and Baker Tilly Poland with the support of Warsaw Stock Exchange conducted an IPO Seminar for Baker Tilly International members from Central & Eastern Europe. The purpose of the event was sharing an IPO experience, establishing cooperation between international service providers, describing advantages of WSE, providing information on conditions, describing new opportunities and benefits for issuers and service providers.
Beata Kacprzyk, Chief Specialist at Business Development Department at Warsaw Stock Exchange, welcommed all participants and speakers, presented general information about WSE, its conditions and opportunities for issuers.
Alexander Pochkun, CEO at Baker Tilly in Ukraine, during his speech described experience in IPO projects, his company was involved in (13 projects among 22 in General in Ukraine for the years 2005-2012) and provided some recommendations based on this experience for other members.
Konrad Konarski, Partner at Baker & McKenzie in Warsaw, described ways of cooperation with Legal Counsel in the IPO process.
Robert Koleczek, Director,Equity Capital Markets at UniCredit Group, has shown the importance and benefits of IPO for issuers and shared his Company’s experience in IPO projects.
Andreas Philippou, Director at Cyprus office of Baker Tilly, provided information about listing Cyprus companies on WSE.
Joe Smoczyński, Consultant to Baker Tilly, presented case studies, described stages of IPO process and what to expect and for what to prepare during it.
In general, representatives of Baker Tilly offices in Poland, Azerbaijan, Russia, Belorussia, Luxembourg, Cyprus & Ukraine have visited the event.
