The forum is organized annually due to the steadily growing interest of the international community and organizations at major to work closely and to cooperate with Donbass as one of the most developed and economically active industrial regions of Ukraine. The Forum 2008 gathered together around 300 of attendees from 30 different countries worldwide and is noted as one of the most significant international venues of the year in Ukraine.
The main purpose of the Forum was: a presentation of possibilities, specification and advantages of modern Donbass for all foreign economic activities. The key objective of the Forum is the practical side of it, focused on the economic side of the region, extensive discussion of possibilities of entry on new markets, business contacts and partnerships.
The managing partner of Baker Tilly Ukraine Alexander Pochkun also participated in the Forum. In his speech Mr. Pochkun emphasized on specifics of companies’ activity in the conditions of unfavourable investment climate.
