Within last 4 years, the volume of waste produced in Ukraine decreased by 1/3 – from 426 million tons down to 296 million tons. Before, the volume of produced waste was permanently growing. Â
The major source of waste is the industrial extraction of natural resources: these technologies foresee extraction of large volumes of soil which should be somehow recycled later. Â
Processing industry is the second largest producer of waste. The key substance disposable substance here is water. Â
Agricultural, fishery and forestry sectors occupy the third place. Energy sector goes right after them.
