On the 6th of June seminar "Actual issues of International Taxation" was conducted at Baker Tilly office. Speakers, Roustam Vakhitov, Master of Law (LL.M) in International Taxation and consultant to Baker Tilly, as well as Roman Prannychuk, Head of Tax Consulting at Baker Tilly, presented the following topics:
- The new jurisprudence on the application of international tax treaties. The decision in the case of Phoenix Capital change earlier formed positive practice for taxpayers and make use of empty intermediate companies more risky.
- Further development of events in Cyprus. Comments of Cypriot colleagues on the current situation and forecasts. Building an effective tax structure considering latest changes and conditions of tax treaties and the current situation.
- Signing of the new tax agreement with Ireland. The main provisions of the practical application prospects. Comments of Irish colleagues.
- Control of prices in transactions with foreign companies within the existing and projected Ukrainian legislation on transfer pricing, the experience of implementation and application of transfer pricing rules in Russia and the EU.
Also, participants had an opportunity, through video conferencing during the seminar, to communicate directly with our colleagues, specialists in taxation, from Cyprus, UAE and Ireland.
